Position Type: Full-Time Summer Position (12 Weeks) with potential for full time permanent employment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Overview:

Comfort Keepers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our growing team for a 12-week summer placement. The 12-week placement will also serve as the employee’s probationary period, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position upon successful completion and review.

In this role, you will use your communication, organizational, and administrative skills to support daily office operations. You will work closely with clients, caregivers, and internal staff while assisting with a variety of administrative and recruitment functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
  • Monitor, respond to, and organize emails
  • Communicate with clients, caregivers, and office staff
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain records
  • Assist with scheduling updates and communicate changes
  • Support recruitment efforts (resume screening, pre-screen calls, interview scheduling)
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation processes
  • Maintain office inventory and supplies
  • Provide administrative support to Office Manager, HR Advisor, and Client Care Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Office Administration education or equivalent experience
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Class 5 Graduated Driver’s License (preferred)
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to learn new software quickl
