Student Massage Therapist needed – Flexcare Massage Therapy – Rocky View, AB

JOB POSTING: Flexcare Massage Therapy is looking to hire a Student Massage Therapist for their busy Rocky View, AB massage clinic. Applicants must be courteous, professional and client-focused. Consult with and screen clients to offer the best personal treatment for their needs. Looking for therapists to improve their skills (in safest manner possible), grow and retain existing client base. This job posting is open to MaKami College massage therapy students looking to attain practicum hours or simply a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure clean, safe and well-organized facility
• Set up clinic and work stations, ensure cleanliness and stay tidy through shifts
• Assist with keeping linens clean and replacing them between appointments
• Accompany clients to and from treatment rooms
• Consult with clients to identify appropriate massage treatments
• Comply with all applicable standards, rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Have 1250 – 2200 massage hours and be insured to practice
• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
• Proficient knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, parental, trigger point, sports, deep tissue, hot stone, shiatsu and aromatherapy massage treatments
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent people skills
• Well-groomed, professional appearance
