Massage Therapist Needed – Rimrock Resort Hotel, Banff

JOB POSTING: The Rimrock Resort Hotel is looking to hire a Registered Massage Therapist for their busy multidisciplinary spa. Looking for graduates with 2200 registered hours, recognized and in good standing with applicable association(s) and have 2 years of customer service /spa experience. This job posting is open to graduates of the 2nd year or the 3000 hour program.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from a recognized massage therapy college with 2200 registered hours
• Registered with a recognized Alberta association
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently and multi-task as needed
• Comfortable performing all massage therapy treatments
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit effective communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, as well as anticipating their needs and showing sensitivity and understanding
• Must learn and perform all spa treatment protocols to the highest standard
• Perform different massage modalities (Relaxation, Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Hot Stone, etc.)
• Communicate with guest to ensure pressure, temperature and products are comfortable
• Clean and sanitize work areas, change room treatment sheets, sterilize all instruments and provide 4 Diamond Service
• Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer inquiries and expectations
• Apply best practices and stay up-to-date with market trends, as well as advise on home care products
• Exhibit professional vocabulary with all staff and guests
• Must be properly attired in business attire with clearly visible name tag
• Frequent lifting and / or carrying up to 20lbs
• Requires significant standing and walking
• May involve sitting with pushing and pulling of arms & legs
