Mak-a-Mini Childcare, an incorporated non-profit society offering a full-time and part-time daycare program for children aged 1 to 5 years old, opened its doors in March 2025 in Edmonton’s MaKami College campus.
“We are so excited to be able to have this daycare in our Edmonton campus,” says MaKami College President & CEO Marija Pavkovic-Tovissi. “Childcare availability is limited in this area and this will be especially convenient for any of our students who have been struggling to find childcare, since it will be located right in our school for easy pickups and drop-offs.”
Located on the far north side of the MaKami Edmonton campus across from the library, Mak-a-Mini Childcare is comprised of seven rooms totalling over 5,500 sq. ft. of space, and an additional 2,500 sq. ft which is allocated to outdoor play.
The daycare will initially operate with three rooms:
- Happy Hands: 3-5 years old
- Joyful Jingles:12-19 months
- Bouncing Bublles:19 months – 3 years
