Tuition Bursary of up to $10,000 Available for ELCC Students

Early childhood education Alberta Government Bursary programs available for MaKami students - get up to $10,000 in funding

The new Early Childhood Educator Bursary program was created to grow Alberta’s childhood educator workforce and is offered to students who will start their Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) program between September 1, 2025 and January 15, 2028.

The financial assistance will provide up to 300 one-time bursaries of $10,000 to eligible students over the next three years.

The bursary will be given in two installments:

  1. $5,000 once an eligible applicant has been accepted to MaKami College’s ELCC program.
  2. $5,000 once the applicant completes their program, begins working in the licensed childcare sector and gains Level 2 early childhood educator certification.

How to apply:

The Government of Alberta has designated Norquest College to administer the funds.
