Strengthening Academic Pathways: MaKami College Joins Transfer Alberta

MaKami College is proud to announce a significant achievement that will expand educational opportunities for our students across Alberta.

We have officially received approval to the Alberta Transfer System (ATS), a provincial framework that allows students to transfer eligible credits between MaKami College and other recognized post-secondary institutions throughout Alberta. This means greater flexibility, more options, and smoother transitions for our students pursuing academic and career success.

The ATS approval also opens new possibilities for MaKami College to collaborate with high schools and continuing education, allowing learners to get a head start on post-secondary studies. This advancement supports broader recognition of prior learning, helping students advance their education by valuing skills and experience gained outside traditional classrooms.

In addition, we recently announced our first formal transfer pathway with Bow Valley College, enabling students who complete our Business Administration Assistant Certificate to continue seamlessly into their Legal Office Assistant Diploma. We look forward to announcing more partnerships in the near future, further strengthening our commitment to student mobility and success.

Achieving this milestone required dedication and hard work from many people across MaKami College. I want to thank everyone involved for their commitment to advancing our mission and providing pathways to brighter futures for all our learners.
