Robin Landals-Hill Shares Leadership Insights at ACIFA 2026

Jasper, AB – Robin Landals-Hill was a featured presenter at the Alberta Colleges and Institutes Faculties Association (ACIFA) Conference, held May 3 to 5, 2026 in Jasper, Alberta. The annual conference brings together post-secondary educators and academic leaders from across the province to share ideas, explore emerging practices and strengthen teaching and learning in Alberta’s colleges and institutes.

Landals-Hill delivered a presentation titled, “Immersive Interest: Finding Balance and Purpose in the In-Between Spaces of Learning and Leading,” encouraging participants to reflect on the value of curiosity, intentional growth and meaningful engagement in both education and leadership.

The session will focus on Immersive Interest Learning and the TIME Method, a framework Landall-Hill uses to help her team better understand and support learners who don’t climb ladders or walk straight lines but instead connect ideas in non‑linear ways – and who are often misunderstood in traditional systems.

“I’m feeling excited and grateful to be part of the conference, and to be sharing insights on how immersive interest can be nurtured in the classroom,” says Landals-Hill. “Opportunities like this remind us that some of the most valuable learning happens in the spaces between teaching and leading, where reflection, connection and curiosity come together.”

Through interactive discussion and shared experiences, Landals-Hill invited attendees to consider how immersive learning and intentional pauses can create stronger engagement, foster personal growth and enrich the educational experience for both learners and educators.

The ACIFA Conference continues to serve as a valuable forum for Alberta’s post-secondary community, providing opportunities for collaboration, professional development and the exchange of innovative ideas that support excellence in teaching and learning.
