JOB POSTING: Quarry Park Chiropractic & Wellness Centre is looking to hire a dedicated Office Assistant for their Calgary, AB location. Seeking exceptional talent to handle patient duties, as well as reception and general office management tasks. The successful hire will enjoy $1000+ bonus at their 12-month anniversary and become eligible for a pay raise. When patients walk into our office, they want them to find a friendly face and a helping hand. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet patients as they arrive, and manage a fast-paced treatment flow in a calm and professional manner
- Prepare direct insurance billing and collect payments
- Schedule and reschedule patients in an efficient manner
- Answer phone / emails / queries in a timely manner
- Create and manage both digital filing systems for all patients
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but high school diploma accepted with college or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience as a receptionist or Administrative Assistant, medical office background is an asset
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Time management and ability to prioritize urgent and important tasks
- Knowledge of excel spreadsheets and word processing documents
- Ability to create and maintain organized filing system
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional in-person and phone manner
- Experience with Electronic Health Records and / or Direct Insurance Billing will make this transition easier
- Strong math skills and exceptional writing skills, proficient computer skills
