MaKami’s CEO receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Adult Education

MaKami College’s CEO Marija Pavkovic-Tovissi received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal today during a ceremony in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 

The medal recognizes significant contributions to the province.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be nominated and awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal by the Minister of Advanced Education,” says Pavkovic-Tovissi. “I love serving Albertans though the transforming power of education. I have been doing so for two decades, with an incredible team, and we hope to do more great things together in the future for decades to come.” 

MaKami College is a post-secondary college with locations in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. MaKami opened in 2001 and grew to become the largest massage therapy school in Alberta, teaching students to become highly trained massage therapists with our 3,000 Hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma program. Since that time, the school has grown to include programs for Health Care AideBusiness Administrative AssistantMedical Office AssistantMaster Instructor, and Alberta Basic Security Training.
