MaKami College’s Stampede Breakfast Recognized for its Spirit

July 9, 2024 – MaKami College is excited to once again receive the Stampede Spirit Recognition award from the Calgary Stampede Committee for its popular annual pancake breakfast held on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
“It is an honour to be recognized like this again by the Stampede Committee,” says Marija Pavkovic-Tovissi, CEO of MaKami College. “This breakfast is an opportunity for us to help feed individuals and families that are really struggling right now with food scarcity. We’re glad we can help alleviate that a little bit with events like this.”
The 2024 MaKami Stampede Breakfast served more than 16,000 pancakes, turkey sausages, fruit cups and refreshments.
The event also included a live music from The Prairie Dogz, stage and audio by Urban Audio, coffee from Starbucks, a fun kids zone with games and a petting zoo from Butterfield Acres, face painting from Fancy Faces and tons of great giveaways.
MaKami College is a public, post-secondary college operating since 2001, with locations in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. MaKami offers programs in massage therapy, early childhood education, personal training and more.
