MaKami College has successfully completed the final phase of its transition to becoming a publicly-funded independent academic institution by becoming a not-for-profit entity.
This milestone marks the completion of a rigorous process, undertaken since March 2023, to fulfill all regulatory and legislative requirements under the Private Vocational Training Act and the Post-Secondary Learning Act.
“Transitioning to a not-for-profit institution has always been part of our vision for establishing a lasting legacy as a college,” said Marija Pavkovic-Tovissi, President and CEO of MaKami College. “This move not only aligns us with other provincial institutions but also demonstrates our continued commitment to serving the public interest.
