MaKami College Career Fairs Expand in 2025

MaKami College will be holding careers fairs for its students on January 28, 2025 in Calgary and on February 5, 2025 in Edmonton – with some upgrades, including impactful workshops and a leadership panel. 

“We are excited to bring back the career fair in 2025,” says Karla Bancroft, Practicum Manager for MaKami College. 

“Our 2024 career fairs were a massive success for both employers and students, with great employers at our exhibitor booths. This year we want to provide even more resources for students, so we’ve added a number of workshops for students and even a panel event to help make it even more impactful moving forward.” 

As a result, the career fairs have been renamed Career Pathways going forward. 

The workshops will be held between 9AM – 12 noon, covering a number of topics, such as resume writing, debt management, interview etiquette and marketing. 

A Women in Leadership panel follow the workshops between 12-1PM, featuring female guest speakers from a number of businesses who will discuss how they have overcome personal and professional barriers to build successful businesses.

The job fair with dozens of top employers across various industries will be held from 1-3PM in the school hallways, giving students a valuable opportunity to meet employers, explore work placement and career options, ask questions and participate in mini-interviews.

Students are encouraged to make the most out of the event by bringing their cover letter and resumes for the job fair portion of the event.
