MaKami College’s CEO Marija Pavkovic-Tovissi was named as one of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 this month.
The Top 40 Under 40 demonstrate the breadth and depth of what is being achieved in Calgary.
“It is an honour to be recognized for our family’s hard work to help provide an education and better future for others,” says Pavkovic-Tovissi, who was recently also named one of the Profit 500’s Fastest Growing Companies and Chatelaine’s Profit W100 Top Female Entrepreneur, a Leader of Tomorrow from Business in Calgary magazine and a Calgary Game Changer.
Today, Tovissi ensures 1,200-plus students a year – many of them immigrants, most working mothers – get an education and a diploma that is useful in Canada and gets them working right away.
