Emergency Financial Support Now Available For Students!

The Federal Government announced on April 22 that on May 1, 2020 the Canada Student Emergency Benefit will be offered to all students that are currently in College or University, are enrolling in studies that start between May 1st. 2020 to September 2020 or students who graduated from December 2019 to now. The Canada Student Emergency Benefit will also be offered to students that are still working but are earning less than $1000.00 per month.  This benefit will see students receiving $1,250.00/month and if you are taking care of someone else or are a student with a disability, that amount increases to $1,750.00/month.  The students that are currently registered with a disability such as test anxiety or ADHD for example, may qualify for the higher amount. The students that are currently applying for disability funding through the school, please finalize your application forms with SALT asap. Should you be unsure if you qualify for disability funding please contact SALT for an assessment.

You will be able to apply for this benefit on the Government of Canada website. These benefits will start on May 1, 2020 and will be available from May 2020 to September 2020.
