JOB POSTING: Inside Out Total Wellness, a wellness spa in Calgary, Alberta, is hiring a part-time massage therapist.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and have the ability to create a relaxing and therapeutic environment for clients. This role is essential in promoting physical and mental well-being through personalized massage treatments tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality massage therapy services, including, deep tissue, sports massage, myofascial release and other specialized techniques.
• Assess client needs and customize treatment plans based on individual health concerns and preferences.
• Maintain accurate client records, including treatment history and progress notes.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their comfort levels, preferences, and any medical conditions that may affect their treatment.
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in the treatment area, ensuring a safe environment for clients.
• Stay informed about industry trends, techniques, and best practices in massage therapy.
• Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits and referrals.

Experience

• Valid state certification or license in massage therapy is required.
• Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred to enhance communication with clients regarding their health conditions.
• Previous experience in a customer service role is highly desirable, as it contributes to creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
• Strong communication skills are essential for understanding client needs and providing exceptional service.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development through workshops or additional training is encouraged.

Job Type: Part-time / Full-time

Pay: Up $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 25 per week
