Wage: $20 – $23 per hour

A Day in the Life

No two days are exactly the same at Well Fed Clinic, but every day begins with creating a warm, welcoming experience for the families who trust us with their care.

As our Medical Office Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, helping families feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive or reach out to the clinic. You’ll work closely with our physicians and clinical team to keep the day running smoothly, balancing patient care with the behind-the-scenes coordination that makes our clinic successful.

Throughout the day, you’ll:

• Welcome patients and families with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries in a friendly and timely manner.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments.
• Register new patients and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Process referrals and communicate with physicians’ offices and other healthcare providers.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for clinic appointments.
• Support physicians with administrative tasks throughout the day.
• Process billing and other clinic documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Keep the reception area and clinic organized, welcoming, and running efficiently.
• Pitch in wherever needed to support the team and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

• You have a Medical Office Assistant certificate or equivalent experience.
• You have previous experience working in a medical clinic or healthcare environment.
• You are comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR); experience with an EMR system is an asset.
• You communicate with warmth, professionalism, and empathy, creating positive experiences for patients and
  families.
• You have strong organizational skills, pay close attention to detail, and can effectively prioritize competing
  tasks.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
• You stay calm, adaptable, and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• You take initiative, look for opportunities to improve processes, and are willing to pitch in where needed.
• Above all, you have a caring, compassionate, and patient-first approach, and take pride in providing exceptional service every day.
