MaKami College is a provincially licensed Private Vocational College offering a 3,000 Hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma Program, a Health Care Aide Certificate Program, a Business Administrative Assistant Diploma Program, a Master Instructor Diploma Program and Alberta Basic Security Training. This position has primary responsibility for providing day-to-day administrative support to the Government Relations Team, assisting with annual reporting and program audits. The position provides a wide variety of administrative support services, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the department. It is expected that the incumbent is well organized and possesses excellent time management skills.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):

  • Performs general administrative duties such as word processing, filing, answering phones, photocopying, faxing, creating and retrieving correspondence for the leadership team
  • Prepare and maintain reports using established templates
  • Assistant with annual reporting, auditing of all programs and program surveys
  • Audit student files ensuring required information is up to date
  • Liaising with various departments to gather appropriate documentation and data
  • Scanning and photocopying documents
  • Digitizing files and data entry
  • Maintain an efficient and effective record-keeping system
  • Assist with all administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of MaKami College campuses in Calgary
  • Provide executive assistant support to the senior leadership team

Education & Experience

  • Minimum two years of related experience
  • Diploma or Certificate in Administration or Records Management considered an asset
  • Experience in an office environment, within an educational institution, is considered an asset
  • Proficient MS Office skills (excel, word, PowerPoint) is essential
  • Previous file management and data entry experience preferred
  • Driving license and own transport preferred

Please note, while this position is based at our Marlborough Mall Campus, regular travel is required to our SW Calgary and Edmonton campuses
