Eye on Alumni – Meet Ai!

Ai graduated from Makami College’s first year program in 2005. Upon graduation she was hired at Eveline Charles Salon and Spa downtown, where she has been working for the past seven years. Ai has even had the chance to massage Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas!

“I really enjoy working in a spa environment because the setting is very relaxing for clients and I feel relaxed working there. It is such a pleasure for me to see how my clients’ moods change after treatments.”

Ai says she’s surprised at how many people don’t realize massages are therapeutic and that they can be claimed for reimbursement from most of the insurance companies.

“I hope that word spreads that getting massages is one of many keys to stay healthy and relaxed,” she says.
