It was all smiles in Calgary and Edmonton at the Chinese Cultural Centre and additional locations as MaKami students were there to help celebrate Chinese New Year and treat everyone to a free massage. What a great way to start a new year!
Our Edmonton students received a warm welcome at the Rosslyn Place Seniors Centre on February 22.
These massage therapy visits help residents with their aging muscles, soothing aches and pains, and helps their muscles to work to the best of their ability. The visits themselves also benefit the residents from a social aspect as they get to visit and laugh with students, and of course the students love these visits as well!
MaKami Students were in fine form at the Kids Kottage Radiothon on December 8, 2016. They could be found on the HMV stage at West Edmonton Mall giving massages for donations, with their hosts Shine FM.
The event was a huge success raising $126,000!
MaKami students had a fabulous time at the Edmonton Pet Expo January 28-29.
The attendees loved the free massage therapy, and the animals couldn’t have been any cuter or more talented!

Ringing in the Lunar New Year at West Edmonton Mall with Massages this January! What better way to start a new year then with a little massage therapy to take away the stresses and start you off relaxed.
Our Calgary team had fun on a road trip to Lethbridge to take part in the Domesticated Diva’s Even Planning and Gift Expo. Attendees were treated to free massages as they pursued the booths full of wonderful gift ideas for Christmas.
Calgary students were happy to give free massages at the Hockey helps the Homeless tournament in Calgary at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park November 4.
This great charity funds the work of over 40 homeless support agencies and does so with the support of players such as Robyn Regehr.
Of course we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a photo op!
MaKami Edmonton students showed their appreciation to some of the volunteers that helped out following the Fort MacMurray fires.
It was a pleasure to honour these people and treat them to massages as a small token for all they have done for those affected by the fires.
